Traveling an EV? Good news for you!

Lisbon will soon have over 180 electric vehicle charging stations, distributed by EMEL car parks and strategic locations of the city’s streets.

The announcement was made by the Lisbon City Council on its social networks. Without advancing a date for the posts to be in operation, the municipality highlighted however that the tender for the acquisition of equipment was launched this week and will allow to strengthen the offer of shippers on the public road and encourage more sustainable mobility in the city.

These new stations, totaling more than 360 outlets, will include 18 fast charging locations, 108 slow and half-fast charging, for installation and expansion of the network in EMEL car parks, and about 60 slow and semi-fast charging, to then place in strategic locations of the streets of Lisbon — “and thus strengthen the offer on the public road”.
