Ready your wallet: shopping centers to reopen!

by Lisboeta

Almost all shopping centers in Portugal reopened on June 1st, when the third phase of deconfinement was initiated due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, in the Council of Ministers it was decided that the establishments of Greater Lisbon would remain closed — after all, more than 90 percent of the daily cases of coronavirus have been recorded in this region.

This Monday, June 15, the wait ended. Shopping malls such as Centro Colombo, Centro Vasco da Gama and Amoreiras Shopping, Center, in Lisbon; UBBO, in Amadora; Almada Forum in Almada; and the Alegro in Montijo or Setúbal, can now open.

All of them comply with very strict hygiene and safety measures, which are recommended by the Directorate-General for Health.
