Due to Coronavirus concerns the event was rescheduled to 2021. This week Rock in Rio Lisboa confirmed the first 3 bands for 2021.
Foo Fighters, The National and Liam Gallagher are ready to rock in Lisbon! Rock in Rio, originally scheduled to June of this year had to be cancelled due to COVID 19 pandemic. The event was rescheduled to 19, 20, 26 e 27 of June of 2021. The three bands confirmed will perform on the “World Stage” (main stage) June 19th, 2021.
According to Rock in Rio organization “fans who had already purchased a ticket for June 21st, 2020 (date originally scheduled for the performance of Foo Fighters, The National and Liam Gallagher) will have their ticket automatically valid for June 19th, next year, not necessary of any re-validation or exchange. The same applies to everyone who purchased a pass for the first weekend of the festival, which is now valid for June 19th and 20th, 2021.”
The organization also added “If any of the artists initially scheduled to perform at the World Stage (main stage) in 2020 is not confirmed for the 2021 edition, ticket holders for that specific day will be able to exchange their ticket for a date of their choice, by carrying out a re-validation process, or request a refund within 30 days of the “non-confirmation” date.”
Other confirmed artists for the 2020 edition included: The Black Eyed Peas, Camila Cabello, Ivete Sangalo, David Carreira, Duran Duran, A-Ha, Xutos & Pontapés, Bush, Anitta and Post Malone. So far the festival organization only confirmed Foo Fighters, The National and Liam Gallagher to perform on the main stage, but it’s expected to some of these artists to re-confirm their presence at the festival.
