The festival will no longer take place this year in The Belavista Park in Lisbon.
After NOS Primavera Sound, there is another major music festival that debuts its edition for next year. Rock in Rio Lisboa announced this Thursday, March 4, that the event will not happen this year as planned.
The festival returns to Belavista Park only in 2022, on June 18, 19, 25 and 26. The organization is already contacting the artists to try to have as many reconfirmations as possible on the poster. All tickets already purchased remain valid for the new dates.
Rock in Rio Lisboa, like other major music festivals, require long months of preparation. If this year were to happen, the assembly of the structures would have to start in the coming days, which is especially difficult in the state of emergency and under heavy restrictions due to the pandemic.
