Festival that would be held in Meco joins other events such as NOS Alive or Rock in Rio, which have already announced their return only next year due to the pandemic.
The Super Bock Super Rock festival, which would be held this summer in Meco, was postponed to 2022, announced on Monday The Music in the Heart, promoter of the festival. In 2022, the event will take place on 14, 15 and 16 July, the officials also revealed.
“This is an extraordinarily difficult decision. Over the past few months, together with the Government, health authorities and industry representatives, have worked on measures that could enable festivals to return safely. However, restrictions on international circulation are forcing most artists to postpone their tours to 2022, which makes it impossible to maintain Super Bock Super Rock”, justifies the organization.
This year’s poster had planned performances by A$AP Rocky, Brockhampton, Slow J, Hot Chip, DaBaby, Foals, Kali Uchis, Local Natives, among other artists. News will soon be announced in relation to next year, the organization said.
Tickets purchased for the 2020 edition and this year will be valid for the 2022 edition, without the need for exchange or issuance of a new ticket. Those who want a refund can request it within 14 days of the scheduled date for the event in 2021. “On this side, we continue with the commitment and motivation of always for the 26th Super Bock Super Rock to be one of the best editions in its history. That is why we are already working together with partners to prepare for a return to Meco next year,” officials said.
