New week, new summer heat, new festival confirmations, new stuff to be done in the city!
After fours months stopped, Santa Justa lift has reopened to the public. The reopening took place on Wednesday, July 15, — five days after the emblematic date of its inauguration, on July 10, 1902, which makes it a Lisbon symbol at the age of 118 — although with the viewpoint still closed to the public. The elevator is currently operating with a single cabin. The elevator is now running from 7 am until 9 pm. The price of the ticket is 5,3€, but only for those who do not have “passe Navegante”.
Super Bock Super Rock announces 6 more names for next year’s poster: A$AP Rocky, Hot Chip, Son Lux, Goose, Pedro de Tróia and Wire now join the lineup. Foals, Kali Uchis, Brockhampton, Slow J, Jungle, Local Natives, Goldlink and Boy Pablo were already confirmed for the festival happening July 15, 16 and 17, 2021


A new photographic exhibition will show us a new Lisbon, empty due to the pandemic. “Lisboa Ainda — Olhares sobre a cidade em quarentena”. Pedro Nunes photographed the city on the first morning of the first Monday of the first week of quarantine. Luís Miguel Sousa returned to the places he had photographed before full of tourists to, with the same setting, capture the contrast. Tiago Miranda drove through Lisbon and photographed her through the car window, while José Fernandes draws the darkness with light. The exhibition is happening in Pavilhão Preto do Museu de Lisboa, Palácio Pimenta until September 20. Tickets cost 3€.
More music festival confirmations, this time for EDP Cool Jazz 2021. Already confirmed acts by Lionel Richie, Yann Tiersen, Herbie Hancock, Jorge Ben Jor, Neneh Cherry and Kokoroko, are now joined by Miguel Araújo and Tiago Nacarato.
And finally, Stomp will return in 2021. The Brighton group known for using dustbins, brooms, matchboxes, cans or supermarket trolleys as musical instruments will perform between March 9 and 21 in Teatro Tivoli.
